Assessment for Copenhagen - Update |

Following the cancellation of the Worcester assessment race due to bad water conditions the race at Elmbridgeon Sunday 6th May was attended by most of the paddlers up for selection. As a result there will not be any more K1 assessment races for the Copenhagen World Cup.
The K2 assessment at reading on 27th May will go ahead as planned, assuming the water is OK, fingers crossed. Any paddler not paddling at Elmbridge should aim to paddle at the K2 event. The selectors are able to consider paddlers for K1 from K2 performances should this be considered in the best interests of the team and good results.
It is essential that all who want to be considered should make sure that Dave Enoch has received an availability form by Friday May 25. Without this it will be assumed that you are NOT available for Copenhagen

All athletes wishing to compete at the Marathon World Championships for Seniors, U23s and Juniors must now have completed the World Anti Doping Code "Real Winners" on-line anti doping education course and obtained a certificate.
This is a series of nine 10 minute inter-active programmes so takes about an hour and a half in total although you do not have to complete it all in one go. Upon completion of the nine exercises you will be e-mailed a certificate. The link is http://icf.realwinner.org
All athletes seeking selection for the World Championships are advised to complete this course as soon as possible. Copies of certificates should be sent to David Enoch along with your Availability Form.
Selectors will not be able to consider athletes for the 2012 World Championships team if they have not completed the "Real Winners" course and sent their certificate to David Enoch. |
